The decision published in the Official Gazette dated December 13, 2025, introducing a provisional anti-dumping measure on aluminum frames used in photovoltaic panels originating from China, stands out as a significant development for the aluminum sector.
Hüseyin Seherli, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Panda Aluminium, commented on the decision as follows: “In recent years, the increasing volume of dumped imports in aluminum products has created significant pressure on domestic producers. As Panda Aluminium, we believe this decision is an important step toward limiting unfair competition and establishing a healthier market structure in the sector. While such measures support domestic production, they also contribute to strengthening trade and increasing public revenues. In this respect, we anticipate that this decision will yield positive outcomes for the Turkish aluminum industry in particular, and for the national economy as a whole.”
Pointing out that low-carbon and sustainable production has become one of the key pillars of competition in the aluminum sector—especially with the acceleration of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism in Europe—Hüseyin Seherli stated that the anti-dumping decision also provides a framework that supports this transformation. Seherli added, “At a time when the transition to low-carbon production is gaining momentum, such measures further strengthen Türkiye’s position in global markets. In this context, we believe that the aluminum industry should grow with a collective mindset and a long-term perspective. As a company, we consider every step that protects domestic production as a contribution to the sector’s sustainable growth.”
