"Bursa and Cumalıkızık: The Birth of the Ottoman Empire" World Heritage Site, which was inscribed on the World Heritage List in the Cultural category at the 38th Term Meeting of the World Heritage Committee, Hanlar District that includes the Orhangazi Complex and its surroundings, Hüdavendigar (I. Murad) Complex, Yıldırım (I. Bayezid) Complex It consists of six components: Yeşil (Mehmed I) Kulliye, Muradiye (Murad II) Kulliye and Cumalıkızık Village.

Established as the first capital of the Ottoman Empire and shaped by social complexes, Bursa's important commercial role throughout history is demonstrated by the large inns, covered bazaars and bazaars in the city. The Khans Area has been the heart of the city's economy since the 14th century. The urbanization model of Bursa, which was an exceptional example for the early Ottoman city, set an example for the Ottoman-Turkish cities established later.

The economic relations of Cumalıkızık Village and the other foundation villages around it with the inns and complexes in the city center of the capital city of Bursa made a significant contribution to the transformation of the Ottoman Empire from a principality to an empire with all its institutions.

Bursa and Cumalıkızık, with their commercial culture still alive today and the continuity of rural life quite close to the city, constitute a good example of the early Ottoman lifestyle and vision.
